Every year, Birmingham Barons baseball unveils a new lineup of fun stadium foods for the upcoming season. Every year, it’s a thoughtful, concerted effort to enhance the fan experience. This year, that effort has some star power.
The Barons have teamed up with sports legend Bo Jackson for their 2025 season menu. Bo’s Hometown Burger, a big burger crafted with premium angus patties from Jackson’s Bo’s Burgers line, is in the starting lineup. This is a delicious burger topped with bacon, cheese, lettuce, a special sauce and a crispy onion ring in a Kaiser roll.

Every Bo’s Hometown Burger will come with an exclusive Birmingham Barons Bo Jackson baseball card souvenir.
Jonathan Nelson, president and general manager of the Birmingham Barons, says Jackson reached out to the Barons with his product. “He wants to be a part of minor league baseball teams, and he said he wants to start with us.” Bo Jackson, he points out, is from here and was a Birmingham Baron at one point in his storied career. Through things like Bo Bikes Bama, he’s “always given back to the state,” Nelson adds. “We’re honored to carry his product here.”
Food and beverage general manager Gus Stoudemire says that to celebrate this partnership, Jackson will return to his hometown of Birmingham on July 25 to throw out the first pitch, personally serve some of these burgers to customers and enjoy a night of Barons baseball.
Bo’s Burger is special, but offering exciting, new items each year is simply part of the commitment to great customer service at Regions Field, Stoudemire says. “You have to keep up in this business. It’s forever changing, so we try to come up with new ideas for the fans.”
This year’s lineup of crafted stadium foods also includes:

- spicy Nashville hot chicken tenders over crispy fries with ranch sauce and jalapenos
- savory-spicy brisket nachos in a souvenir Baron’s helmet bowl
- (must-have!!) fried pickle spears with a chipotle dipping sauce (this is Stoudemire’s personal favorite, too)
- chicken nuggets and fries for fans of all ages
- The Dugout Nachos, made with Doritos topped with Philly steak, queso and jalapenos
The yearly celebration of new foods, with interesting ties to Birmingham, has been a signature of Regions Field from the very beginning when the Barons moved downtown in 2013. It started with the Magic City Dog made with Dreamland sausage, relish and spicy mustard. Then the next year, they introduced the Steel City Burger, and they’ve continued to add more and different items every season.
Nelson says, “There’s been a trend in sports that it’s all about the experience. The Barons organization has been around since 1885. We recognize what people like in this community. … People have come to expect that we’re going to continue to raise our game—in every sense of the word—whether it’s new food items that are connected to the community or craft beverage items. It’s part of the overall experience, and we just want to continue to improve every season.”

The Baron’s longtime partnership with Dreamland Bar-B-Q continues. The beloved barbecue producer sells its own products (ribs, sandwiches and more) on the concourse. Other returning corporate sponsors include Papa John’s Pizza and Coca-Cola.
The Barons also partner with AlaBev and local craft breweries, and beer selections include Good People Brewing Company’s Muchacho Mexican-style lager and bestselling IPA as well as Avondale Brewing Co.’s General Admission lager. You can also find Topo Chico hard seltzer and domestic beers like Coors Light, Miller Lite and Blue Moon.
All these tasty, tried-and-true favorites and new-for-2025 offerings will make their debut on Opening Night, April 4, 2025, when the Barons kick off another season of baseball in Birmingham.
